Thank you for good and fair reporting! Frightening to see in the comments how many people fall for this BS stories about EV fires, most of this stories are pure fake. In reality EV fires are very rare, about 50 times less likely per same number of cars than ICE car fires (we know that from insurance data from several countries), and still so many stupid comments about fires, big oil propaganda against the EV revoltion unfortunately pretty effective. Besides all cars and trucks that will all be electrified the coming years, for short range EVERYTHING will be electrified, ships and planes (up to roughly 1000km distance). Why is that? Because it is so much cleaner, cheaper and saves that huge amounts of money and valuable ressources as oil. An electric ship like that will save many thousends of dollar on each trip, and as renewable energy is getting cheaper and cheaper (already far cheaper than every thermal powerplant), we can reduce shipping and freight costs by a noticeable margin.

I'm not going back through the video to check any names but I think the video said that the Emergency generator took over after 50 or so seconds, while the Main generators were de-coupled from the LV Bus. Then the Main generators were re-coupled to the LV Bus which would have required synchronising them to the Emergency Generator already connected to the LV Bus but there was a loss of power around this time. That may have been because the EM generator was not properly synchronised and the running EM generator disconnected allowing - after a loss of power - the main generators to couple to the Bus. Manual synchronising generators takes a little time and auto synchronising while being faster can fail. I think in this case the auto synch ing just before the second dsiconnect was a failure and the generators shut down because of a reverse power issue possibly.

My guess: HR1/LR1 breakers opened because Transformer TR1 had a seriuos fault....

The name of that second drug and alcohol test is a bit misleading. I don’t think they tested for alcohol at all but took a urine sample of everyone involved just to see if there are any traces of any drugs. As part of every company’s drug and alcohol policy random and unannounced drug tests are conducted. There is no mention of who ordered this test. Was it the owner or the authority? Traces of drugs or illegal substances can be found long time after they have been used. The test is similar to that athletes have to go through.

Also, thanks for mentioning Dr. McManus' Army-in-the-Pacific trilogy. I'm waiting for the 2nd and 3rd to finally be in paperback. I smile a bit whenever I think about this series. I met Dr. McManus at the National World War II Museum during the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. I mentioned to him that if I could ever write a book about World War II it'd be about the Army in the Pacific since so little had really been written on that. Little did I know he'd write a trilogy on that within a few years!

Well when you have no confidence in your fire chiefs, shore based and ship based, you need to take away the keys. Bear in mind, the minimum pre-Oct 7th amount of Lorrie’s bringing aid into Gaza was 500 per day (& this was deemed insufficient to feed the population). So, aid has reduced (even with the pier operating at its full capacity) by apx 350 Lorrie’s per day. The result is that Israel’s deliberate starving of the civilian population can continue but crucially, the US can claim it is facilitating aid when in reality it is supporting Israel’s war-crimes. Of course, US complicity in Israel’s genocide is actual & cannot be hidden by their ‘fig-leaf’ attempt to blur the reality by looking like they’re bringing sufficient aid in, which they’re not. Free Palestine Israel & the US must be made accountable for their complicity in the genocide of Palestinians.
